Based on the latest information announced, Czech new crop 2016 shows a raise of the acreage 10-15%, up to 36.000 ha. The final numbers from 2015 are  (32.250 ha – 26.891 tons),

With the poor demand prices declined siginficantly within last months and together with the new crop expectations  the prices  may fall further. That will get the market bellow attractive level for farmers.

Besides not only Czech crop expect higher volume, the countries around ( Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine) announced plantations higher in surprising numbers, mostly tens or even hundreds of percents.
